Mobile beta
aloud is in beta on Android and iPhone. You meditate by talking: say what you're noticing, and it asks short questions back.
Android
- Join the tester group with the Google account on your phone.
Opt in at this link, and then the same link will open Google Play and let you install. While it's in testing, a Play search won't find it.
If the previous link doesn't work, try this one:
Please keep it installed until at least November 13: this will help me satisfy the Play Store requirements so aloud can go public.
iPhone and iPad
- Install TestFlight from the App Store.
- Open the invite on your iPhone or iPad.
Spots are limited for now. If it says the beta is full, check back soon.
Once it's installed
- Noting works right away, no account needed.
- For Exploration and Felt Sense, you'll need to make an account. Sign in with Google (Android) or Apple (iPhone) and you'll get free credits, plus bonus credits as thanks for testing early.
- It's voice only, so allow the microphone, and Speech Recognition on iPhone.
Known issues
- You can't interrupt the facilitator by talking while it's speaking if you're using built-in transcription, or on iOS without headphones. We hope to fix this before launch.
- The app doesn't yet support turning off the screen during sessions. However, the screen will automatically dim to save battery.
- Buying additional credits is not yet supported on mobile. You can buy on web, Mac, Windows, or Linux - or just ask me personally for more.
